2024 – “Polyphony: Different Roots, Shared Values” Funded by the U.S. Embassy’s Cultural Small Grants Program, this project aimed to build close professional and cultural connections between Georgian and African-American polyphonic traditions.

Within the framework of the project:

On June 10 and 17, 2024, Dr. Kati Bullock, professor at Berea College (USA), delivered two online lectures for a Georgian audience, focusing on the history and key characteristics of African-American music.

From August 29 to September 7, the city of Batumi hosted the African-American Music Week, which included daily workshops led by Kati Bullock, assisted by Georgian choir conductor Tamar Buadze.

On September 9, the project concluded with a joint concert featuring the participants of the workshops.
